The brief for this en-suite bathroom in Belsize Park was to accommodate both a freestanding bath and a generous shower within the existing space. The original layout no longer worked for the homeowners, and the ageing plumbing needed to be replaced, so the bathroom was completely renovated and redesigned to make better use of the space and create a more open, contemporary interior.
The bath and shower were brought together on a raised platform behind a bespoke screen, creating a separate bathing area and a strong focal point within the room. This arrangement allowed both elements to sit comfortably within the space without making the bathroom feel overcrowded. Large-format grey marble-effect porcelain tiles were paired with darker flooring and black chrome brassware. A bespoke vanity unit and basin were designed for the space, along with the shower tray and screen, allowing the layout, storage and finishes to work together as one complete design.
